Privacy Policy

ScreenCastMeadow is a set of static pages. There is no account to create, no form to submit and no comment box, so there is nothing on this site that asks anybody for personal information.

What is stored in your browser

Nothing. The two tools on this site keep their state in memory while the page is open and forget it when the tab closes. No local storage or session storage is written by anything on these pages.

Hosting and logs

The pages are served by a hosting provider which, like every web server, records ordinary request information such as an address, a timestamp and a user agent string. That is done by the host to serve and secure the site, not by this site to build a profile of anybody.

Links that leave this site

Product links point to a retailer and carry an affiliate tag. Following one takes you to that retailer, whose own privacy policy applies from that moment on. Photograph credits point to the stock library the image came from, and source links point to standards bodies and manufacturer help pages. Those destinations are outside this site and set their own terms.

Images

Product images are loaded from the retailer image host and photographs are loaded from the stock library host, which means those hosts see a request from your browser when a page renders.
